Certified Maintenance Supervisor – Virginia Beach

About the role

The Certified Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas of Greystar’s Virginia Beach community meet the company’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This onsite position combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of maintenance activities and vendor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, scheduling contractors, and final quality checks.
• Develop and uphold standards for the appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, coordinating purchases with the Community Manager while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Execute monthly preventative‑maintenance tasks as defined in the policy and procedure manual.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, including troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues.
• Ability to conduct inspections, create work orders, and oversee vendor performance.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and scheduling of maintenance activities.
• Commitment to safety standards, code compliance, and Greystar’s quality expectations.
