Center Medical Specialist – Bilingual English/Spanish (EMT/Paramedic)

About the role

Grifols is seeking a Center Medical Specialist to work in one of its plasma donation centers. The role involves conducting physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, and ensuring donor suitability while providing education and support to donors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and assess medical histories to determine donor eligibility.
• Build rapport with donors and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and staff information.
• Educate donors on health guidelines and counsel them on any unacceptable test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries, adverse events, and any medical concerns.
• Assist in employee training and administer the employee Hepatitis vaccine program.

Required profile

• Current licensure/certification in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, and precise hand movements.
• Adequate vision and hearing acuity as described in the posting.
