Category Lead & Sr. Sourcing Manager – IT

About the role

The IT Category Lead & Sr. Sourcing Manager will design and execute sourcing strategies for key technology spend categories, including software, cloud services, networking, cybersecurity, SaaS platforms, telecom, data centre and hardware. You will own the end‑to‑end acquisition lifecycle, driving cost optimisation, risk reduction and supplier performance while aligning IT investments with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop multi‑year category strategies and roadmaps for software, cloud, infrastructure, security and telecom spend.
• Analyse market trends, pricing models, licensing changes and emerging technologies such as AI/ML tools.
• Lead complex RFPs/RFQs, competitive bids and direct negotiations for high‑value technology agreements.
• Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, data‑protection clauses and cloud consumption frameworks.
• Drive year‑over‑year cost savings and manage renewals for major SaaS and hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Security, Architecture and Vendor Management teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement for large‑scale IT categories.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a track record of delivering cost savings.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work cross‑functionally.
• Understanding of regulatory, data‑protection and third‑party risk requirements, especially for AI technologies.
