Cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

About the role

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced Cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison to join its Medical Affairs team. The field‑based MSL will serve as a scientific bridge between the company and healthcare professionals, focusing on RNAi‑based therapies for cardiometabolic disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with cardiologists, endocrinologists and other key stakeholders.
• Educate HCPs on clinical evidence and RNAi technology related to hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome and hypercholesterolemia.
• Synthesize and relay scientific insights to internal teams.
• Present at scientific congresses and stay current with cardiometabolic research trends.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries in compliance with MSL standards.
• Support company‑sponsored clinical trials through investigator site engagement.
• Assist with speaker training and ensure up‑to‑date disease knowledge.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Medical Science Liaison in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
• Strong scientific background with ability to discuss RNAi mechanisms and disease biology.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a field‑based role.
• Compliance‑aware and able to handle unsolicited inquiries appropriately.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of RNAi technology.
• Expertise in hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome and hypercholesterolemia.
• Experience supporting clinical trial sites.
