CAD Designer / Developer (2‑month onsite contract)

About the role

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a CAD Designer / Developer for a two‑month onsite assignment at the San Onofre Nuclear Station in San Clemente, CA. The role focuses on converting design concepts into accurate 2‑D technical drawings and ensuring they meet safety, structural and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and revise 2‑D AutoCAD drawings.
• Work with raster images to incorporate design changes.
• Apply basic principles for drawing modifications.
• Verify that all designs comply with safety, structural and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting or related CAD roles.
• Proficiency in creating and updating 2‑D AutoCAD drawings.
• Previous experience in a nuclear or industrial environment is preferred.
• AutoCAD certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (2‑D drafting).
• Raster image handling.
• Understanding of safety and structural drawing standards.
