Bilingual Internal Auditor (English/Spanish)

About the role

The Bilingual Internal Auditor will conduct audit examinations and reviews to ensure accurate reporting and effective internal controls. This position requires fluency in English and Spanish to support audits across international locations and to translate relevant documents. Travel up to 25% of the time is expected.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit investigations, including scheduling, planning, testing, documentation, and reporting of deficiencies.
• Monitor and recommend improvements to the internal control environment, contributing to better sales, margins, operating expenses, and working capital management.
• Assist external auditors by performing selected audit steps for the annual external audit.
• Participate in branch and distribution center physical inventory processes.
• Audit corporate functions, distribution facilities, and regional offices.
• Provide bilingual support, conduct audits in Spanish, and translate audit documents as needed.
• Contribute to special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required); Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CIA, or CISA are preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting or audit experience.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish, written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with data analytics tools (a plus).
