Bench Jeweler – Entry to Experienced – Los Angeles

About the role

Join Signet Jewelers’ Field Design & Service Center team in Los Angeles as a Bench Jeweler. You will work on a variety of jewelry repair and custom design projects, progressing from entry‑level tasks to advanced artisan work in a promote‑from‑within environment.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and restore fine jewelry, including chain and clasp repair, re‑tipping prongs, and minor ring repairs.
• Set and mount stones, create stone mountings, and perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
• Fabricate, cast, wax carve, and polish pieces according to design specifications.
• Assist with custom jewelry design using CAD/CAM tools and create one‑of‑a‑kind pieces.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks related to the service center workflow.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
• 1‑3 years of bench jeweler or related skilled‑trade experience working with fine metals.
• Ability to pass a qualified bench test assessing current jeweler level.
• Strong organizational and detail‑orientation skills.
• Customer‑service mindset and basic computer proficiency.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights and weekends, with occasional overtime.
