Athletic Game Day Public Safety Officer (Part‑time)

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking part‑time Athletic Game Day Public Safety Officers to ensure a safe and orderly environment during sporting events. Officers will work on campus during game days, providing traffic direction, security presence, and escort services for officials and visiting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around athletic venues.
• Provide visible security patrols and respond to incidents.
• Escort officials, referees, and visiting team members as required.
• Assist with crowd management and enforce university policies.
• Complete required pre‑employment screenings, including criminal background and sex offender checks.

Required profile

• Current part‑time certified police officer employed by the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
• Ability to work flexible hours aligned with athletic event schedules.
• Clear background check eligibility.
