Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

About the role

The East Texas A&M University women’s soccer program is seeking a dedicated Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in building a competitive, academically strong team. This full‑time, 12‑month position is based on the university campus in Commerce, Texas and involves direct interaction with student‑athletes, staff, and conference officials.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and recruiting academically and athletically qualified student‑athletes for the women’s soccer program.
• Support the Head Coach in planning and conducting team practices, game preparation, and individual player development.
• Help ensure compliance with all East Texas A&M University, Southland Conference, and NCAA regulations.
• Participate in scouting, video analysis, and performance evaluation activities.
• Contribute to academic monitoring and mentorship of student‑athletes.

Required profile

• Commitment to uphold university, conference, and NCAA rules and standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with athletes, coaches, and administrators.
• Ability to travel for recruiting, competitions, and team events.
