About the role
The Assistant Community Manager (Student Living) supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a student housing community. This position handles daily accounting tasks, prepares financial reports, and ensures accurate processing of rent and fees.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments on a daily basis.
- Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and manage cash dispositions.
- Process invoices, payables, and generate monthly close‑out financial reports.
- Maintain accurate records using property management software (Yardi/OneSite).
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with budgeting and financial analysis.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the Community Manager.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
- Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
