Application Engineering Specialist – Industrial Adhesives & Tapes

About the role

The Application Engineering Specialist will leverage 3M's Industrial Adhesives and Tapes portfolio to create new bonding solutions for industrial customers. You will work closely with customers, field sales, and marketing teams to solve complex design challenges and support product adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new applications of adhesive and tape products in the industrial marketplace.
• Provide technical support and product characterization to address customer design challenges.
• Develop application solutions, technical documentation, and demonstration tools.
• Partner with customers on adhesive/tape dispensing and automation projects.
• Train customers, sales representatives, and international colleagues on product use.
• Collaborate with product development, engineering, marketing, and field sales teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of laboratory experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Experience working with tapes and/or adhesives (approximately five years preferred).
• Experience in application engineering (at least two years preferred).
