Adjunct/Part-time Lecturer (Multiple Positions)

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking qualified individuals for multiple non‑tenure‑track lecturer positions across a range of disciplines in the College of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Education. These part‑time, adjunct roles involve delivering high‑quality classroom instruction and supporting student learning in both traditional and hybrid formats.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess undergraduate courses in assigned subject areas.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and instructional resources.
• Grade assignments, exams, and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Maintain academic integrity and adhere to university policies and accreditation standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and occasional student advising.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required).
• Demonstrated expertise or professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Anthropology, Applied Communications, Art and Design, Education, English, History, Mass Communications, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Rhetoric and Writing, Public Affairs, Sociology, Theatre, or Spanish.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics and foster an inclusive learning environment.
