Accountant – General Accounting

About the role

CBRE is seeking an Accountant to join its General Accounting team. You will handle routine accounting activities, maintain the general ledger, and ensure financial data is accurate and well‑organized. This position supports both day‑to‑day operations and month‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, record, and reconcile daily cash receipts and verify proper categorisation.
• Complete billing uploads, conduct receivable research, and investigate payment issues.
• Populate financial schedules, reports, and records for supervisory review.
• Apply cash applications to vouchers and invoices, collaborating with Accounts Receivable and Payable.
• Enter and update client information, billing rules, and new business data in various databases.
• Update cash receipt information in the sub‑ledger and assist with month‑end procedures.
• Gather and analyse data to identify and solve complex, unprecedented problems.
• Suggest process improvements to increase team efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 3‑4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of intermediate accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to evaluate and communicate complex financial information clearly.
• Advanced organisational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills for calculating percentages, discounts, and mark‑ups.
